Shield World Construction is, quite simply, probably one of the best pieces of artwork I have seen on deviantART. The detail that Phoenix-06 has put into this piece is absolutely astounding, the shading is beatiful, I just cannot find a single major thing wrong with this art! I love the way that you can see the framework of the sphere, and inside to the sun and utopia at the center.
Maybe to improve the contrast on the inside of the artificial planet could be increased, because it took me a while to realize there was land and sea in there.
The Artist thought this was FAIR

I agree with the critique, but I have qualms with the way you rated it; it says "one of the greatest pieces on dA, ever." So how is it justified getting only 4/5 stars?

Because the main rating is an average of all the other ratings. I gave the piece a 3 1/2 for Originality because I have seen a few other pieces similar in concept.
I meant to give vision 4 1/2 stars >.<
If I had full control over the devious rating it would easily be a 4 1/2 composition.

Ohh, okay. Yeh, I don't entirely agree with the star system either. I think a forum posting is in order.

PS, this IS an awesome picture. I enjoyed looking at it:)
